The Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology (“the authorities”) issued the “Implementation Rules for Specially Recruited Talents in the Field of Enterprise Operation and Management in Zhongshan City” (“the Implementation Rules “) on 5 June 2023. The authorities announced that talents that have been working in the Zhongshan Municipality, signed labour contracts with relevant units in the Zhongshan Municipality, participated in the social insurance or paid individual income tax in the Zhongshan Municipality in accordance with the relevant law; or those who intend to work full-time in the Zhongshan Municipality and sign a letter of intent can apply for recognition as Talents through Special Appointment. Talents through Special Appointment can receive a special-appointment subsidy from the year following the signing of the employment contract, which can be used for living, working, studying and other expenses, with a maximum amount of RMB2 million. The Implementation Rules will come into effect on 5 June 2023 and valid for three years.
