On 5 June 2023, the Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality issued the “Various Measures of Accelerating the Cultivation of Digital Creative Industry Clusters in Shenzhen Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to strengthen digital creative design, including accelerating the introduction and cultivation of domestic and foreign famous creative design and research institutions, industrial organizations and media institutions, and supporting the construction of digital creative design bases or platforms. Eligible digital creative design base or platform will be awarded subsidy of up to RMB2million. In addition, the Measures clarify the outline of cultivating digital creative enterprises, and provide award of up to RMB5million to leading enterprises, regional headquarters, Research &Development centres and key laboratories that introduced new digital creative abroad and domestically. The Measures come into force on 31 May 2023 and will be valid for 5 years.
