The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Huadu District of Guangzhou Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Detailed Implementation Operation Rules of Talent Housing in Huadu District of Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 16 June 2023. The authorities announced to supply housing to eligible high-level talents, inclusive talents and talents related to commerce. Inclusive talents include Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan youth talents. Eligible inclusive talents can apply to rent a talent housing of no more than 90 square meters and enjoy rental benefits for up to 2 years. The rental benefits are rental allowances with amount up to 50% of housing rental expenses. The Detailed Implementation Operation Rules shall be implemented on 16 June 2023 and valid for 3 years.
