On 26 June 2023, the General Affairs Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government issued the “Implementation Plan for Accelerating the High-Quality Development of Meteorology in Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Plan”). The Plan specifies the creation of a high-quality meteorological development scenario in Nansha, which will help Nansha deepen its task of comprehensive cooperation with Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao towards the world. The Plan will also promote the co-construction, co-research, and sharing of meteorological resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”), as well as explore cross-border sharing of meteorological data in the GBA.
