On 8 July 2023, the Local Financial Regulatory Bureau of Shenzhen Municipal issued the “Guiding Opinions on Financial Support of Stabilizing and Optimizing Foreign Trade Structure in the Shenzhen Municipality” (“the Opinion”). The Opinion proposed to strengthen financial support, including promoting market-oriented commercial credit reporting agencies to legally conduct cross-border exchange and cooperation in Shenzhen Municipality and Hong Kong, allowing banks in Qianhai Cooperation Zone and Hong Kong to obtain customers’ commercial credit information through commercial credit reporting agencies with consent of customers, and promoting cross-border loan business.
