On 14 July 2023, the Office of the People’s Government of Zhuhai Municipality issued the “Implementation Plan for Cultivating New Industry Talents in the Zhuhai Municipality (2023- 2025)” (“the Plan”).The Plan proposed to construct a public service hub base for industrial talents in Zhuhai and Macao, optimize and enhance the functions of service platforms for new industry talents and other skilled talents, so as to provide a powerful safeguard of talent resources for developing Zhuhai’s industries and improve the diversification of Macao’s economy. The Plan also proposed to promote the mutual recognition of skills levels in Zhuhai and Macao, deepen the exchange mechanism in the holding professional skills competitions in Zhuhai and Macao, explore joint training and participation in the world skills competitions, jointly set up a professional skills level recognition alliance in Zhuhai and Macao, and promote the pilot program for recognizing professional ability certificate in Macao.
