The Shenzhen Municipal Qianhai Administration Bureau (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Twelve Measures in relation to Supporting the Development of Employment and Entrepreneurship for Hong Kong and Macao Youth by the Shenzhen Municipal Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone Administration” (“the Notice”) on 20 July 2023. The authorities announced to facilitate the employment and entrepreneurship for Hong Kong and Macao youth in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. For eligible Hong Kong and Macao youth who are employed in the Qianhai Cooperation Zone, a subsidy of 20% of the monthly taxable salary, with a maximum monthly subsidy of RMB5,000 will be granted for a period up to 3 years. Meanwhile, a one-time entrepreneurship award of no more than RMB1 million will be granted. These measures shall be effective from 20 July 2023 and valid for 3 years.
