On 23 August 2023, the Justin Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality issued the “Three-Year Action Plan for High-quality Development of Legal Industry in the Shenzhen Municipality (2023- 2025)” (“the Plan”). The Plan supports famous foreign law firms to establish representative offices in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Legal Affairs Area and the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation and Cooperation Zone. A settlement reward of up to RMB500,000 shall be granted to famous foreign law firm that set up a representative office in the Shenzhen Municipality. The Plan will be implemented for 3 years from 23 August 2023 and the subsidy awards are not retroactive to prior year.
