The General Affairs Office of People’s Government of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Various Measures to Further Promote the High-Quality Development of the Third Pillar of Pension Insurance in the Guangdong Province” on 28 September 2023. The authorities announced that these measures are formulated to meet the people’s diversified demands for pension security. The main measures include strengthening the promotion of individual pension policies, actively cultivating the public’s awareness of retirement planning and savings, and enhancing the public’s awareness and participation in individual pension and commercial pension insurance.
