The Zhuhai Municipal Tax Service, State Taxation Administration (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Application of Cross-municipality Handling on Tax Service Matters” (“the Notice”) on 26 October 2023. The authorities announced that to further promote standardization, formalization and facilitation of tax services, and enhance the convenience of tax payment, the Zhuhai Municipal Tax Service, State Taxation Administration shall implement cross-municipality handling on tax service matters in all tax service offices throughout the municipality starting from 1 November 2023. The tax service offices shall provide taxpayers and fee payers with tax payment services within Zhuhai Municipality (excluding Hengqin) without being restricted by location of the in-charge tax authorities. Taxpayers and fee payers may choose the nearest tax service office to handle their tax service matters.
