The Office of Jiangmen Municipal People’s Government (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Administrative Measures for Basic Medical Insurance in Jiangmen Municipality” (“the Notice”) on 15 November 2023. The authorities announced that these measures are formulated to improve and perfect the basic medical insurance system and optimize the management and services in Jiangmen Municipality. The target of resident medical insurance includes individuals holding the Jiangmen municipal residence permit (including residence permits for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents). Detailed information on insurance participation, contributions, entitlements and payments, please refer to the Measures. The Measures shall be implemented from 1 January 2024 and valid until 31 December 2028.
