On 22 November 2023, the Intellectual Property Office of Zengcheng District of Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Administrative Measures for Special Funds of Intellectual Property in Zengcheng District of Guangzhou Municipality and Zengcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone” (“the Measures”). The Measures proposed to establish and improve dispute resolution mechanisms such as rapid protection of intellectual property rights, guidance on overseas intellectual property disputes and assistance and cooperation in intellectual property protection within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In addition, the Measures proposed to provide support on retrospective subsidies and set up corresponding subsidy projects and amounts based on the actual needs each year. The Measures shall come into force on 22 November 2023 and will be valid for 5 years.
