The Office of Guangdong Municipal Council and The General Affairs Office of People's Government of Guangdong Province (“the authorities”) issued the “Implementation Opinions in relation to Enhancing the Construction of High Skilled Talent Team in the New Era” (“the Implementation Opinions”) on 9 January 2024. The authorities announced to strengthen the construction of high-skilled talent team in Guangdong Province, cultivate and foster more high-skilled talents, as well as improve the exchange mechanisms for attracting high-skilled talents, including allowing high-skilled professionals to directly settle in the Municipality. The spouse and children of high-skilled talents shall be entitled to public employment services, education, housing, and other social security services. Meanwhile, the authorities promoting exchange and cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in the fields of high-skilled talent cultivation, vocational education, and training.
