The Office of People’s Government of Zhongshan Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Employment Optimisation and Stabilization Policies and Measures to Promote Development and Facilitate People’s Livelihood” (“the Notice”) on 4 February 2024. The authorities announced to enhance support for the “Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme” and provide living allowance of RMB2,000 per person per month to youth that participates in the scheme. The authorities also announced to promote the integrated development of entrepreneurial youth from Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macao, and formulate cross-border transportation subsidies for Hong Kong and Macao youth innovation, entrepreneurship and base entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, to recruit a group of Hong Kong and Macao personnels with Mainland work and life experiences to serve as career mentor and provide internships, job opportunities, and career development guidance to Hong Kong and Macao youth who are interested in employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Zhongshan Municipality.
