The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security announced to abolish the Mainland work permit requirement for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents from 23 August 2018. For Mainland employment, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents shall use their valid identification documents to handle human resources and social security matters.
