The Guangzhou Market Supervision and Administration Bureau published the “Implementation Measures for Individual Industrial and Commercial Households to handle Licensing Matters via WeChat” (“the Measures”) on 22 July 2019. With immediate effect, individual industrial and commercial households may log into the WeChat system for licensing application, and perform registration (record filing) matters through WeChat. Once approved, individual industrial and commercial households may obtain their business licence via mail, in person or through the automated machines. The Measures are effective from 22 July 2019 and valid for 5 years.
