The Education Bureau of Panyu District, Guangzhou (“the Bureau”) issued the “Notice on the Issuance of the Detailed Implementation Rules on the Point-Based System for School Admission of the Children of Incoming Residents in Panyu District” (“the Notice”) on 24 August 2020. Residents in Guangzhou with a “Guangdong Residence Permit” or whose children from Hong Kong or Macao who have a Hong Kong and Macao residence permit for a year and fulfill other requirements may apply for school admission. Please refer to the appendix for details on the scope of assessment and standards. The Notice took effect on 24 August 2020 and is valid for 3 years.
