On 31 May 2023, the Office of the People's Government of Liwan District of Guangzhou Municipality issued the “Implementation Measures for Promoting the High-quality Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in the Liwan District of Guangzhou Municipality” (“the Measures”). The Measures are applicable to enterprises with place of registration, tax administrative relation and statistical relations within Liwan District. In addition, the enterprise must have a sound financial system, independent legal person status and independent accounting. The Measures will offer a one-off award of RMB3.5 million to small and medium-sized enterprises newly listed in the domestic and foreign securities markets and listed enterprises that are relocated to Liwan District. In particular, enterprises listed on overseas stock exchanges should not apply for the listing award at the district level until the municipal support funds for listing are distributed. The Measures will be implemented from 31 May 2023 and will be valid for 3 years.
