The Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Education, the Zhuhai Municipal Development and Reform Bureau, and the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of the Zhuhai Municipality (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to Public Kindergarten Carrying out After-schoo and Summer Childcare Educational Services (Trial)” (“the Notice”) on 30 June 2023. The authorities announced to launch after-school and summer childcare services in full-time public kindergartens. The after-school program will be charged on a monthly basis during the semester and summer program will be charged on an instalment basis. The fee is RMB8 per student per hour, with a service duration of 2 hours per day. The fee charged per student per day is RMB16. These shall be effective from 30 June 2023 and valid for 3 years.
