The Guangdong Province Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Guangdong Province Medical Security Bureau, and the Guangdong Provincial Tax Service, State Taxation Administration (“the authorities”) issued the “Notice in relation to the Implementation Measures for the Tax Collection of Social Insurance Premiums in the Guangdong Province” (“the Notice”) on 23 October 2023. The authorities announced that social insurance premiums shall be declared and paid within the same month and collected on a monthly basis. Details include basic principles, applicable scope, and specific collection procedures. These Measures shall be effective from 1 November 2023 and valid for 5 years.
