On 28 December 2023, the General Administration of Customs issued “Supervision Measures of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China for the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone (“the Cooperation Zone”)” (“the Measures”). The duty-free and bonded goods entering and exiting through the ports of the Cooperation Zone shall be subject to simplified declaration, and the enterprises and units in the Cooperation Zone shall declare the filing list in accordance with the regulations, and the specifications for filling in the list shall be formulated separately. The Measures shall come into force as of the date when the relevant regulatory facilities of the Cooperation Zone have been accepted and formally closed for operation.
