The Guangdong Department of Industry and Information Technology, Guangdong Financial Supervisory Authority, Guangdong Provincial Government Service Data Administration Authority, Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Guangdong State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and Guangdong Provincial Tax Service, State Taxation Administration have jointly issued a notice on several policy measures on increasing the support to small and medium-sized enterprises in response to the impact of the epidemic on 23 March 2020. The policy has formulated 26 measures from 4 major directions to support small and medium-sized enterprises in response to the impact of the epidemic. The directions include supporting the resumption of work and production, reducing operating costs, easing financial difficulties and strengthening service protection. Support methods include financial subsidies, tax and fee reductions, property rent reduction, provision of preferential credit rates, optimization of micro-credit services and opening green channels for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan funded processing and trading enterprises. This policy came into force on 23 March 2020 and would be valid until 31 December 2020.
